PRIDO is a community-driven rural development organisation focused on implementing sustainable agriculture systems in Sierra Leone. With over 14 years of experience, PRIDO collaborates with local communities to address environmental challenges, combat food insecurity, and boost household resilience by providing agricultural education and opportunities to women. Myriad is collaborating with PRIDO on a project to establish 250 hectares of agroforestry across four communities in the Karene district of Sierra Leone.
Eden community garden
A new community garden has been installed as part of the Evergreen House Project implemented by The Jabez Initiative in Te Puke, New Zealand. Myriad has been involved from the initial design of the garden space, multiple community working bees, right through to the first planting, and now harvesting food for the new residents of Evergreen House and the wider community.
Inoculating Compost
In this case study, we begin with a commercially available compost product and enriched it by incorporating biological inoculations and fungal spawn. This approach raises the biological levels to meet remediation standards. The enhanced mixture is then applied to crops, demonstrating how targeted biological interventions can improve soil health and crop performance.
