Our Process
Healthy crops begin with a thriving soil food web. At the core of this system are the relationships between bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and nematodes, working in balance to sustain soil fertility.
These microorganisms form nature’s underground network—breaking down organic matter, cycling nutrients into plant-available forms, enhancing disease resistance, and building the foundation for strong, productive crops.
When this balance is disrupted, both soil health and plant performance decline. Simply put, lasting plant health depends on the integrity of the soil food web.
Who we are:

Growing up on her family's organic kiwifruit orchard in Te Puke developed a lifelong connection to the land and food production. Her hands-on experience spans over a decade in the kiwifruit and dairy farming industry, along with roles spent in market gardening, broad acre cropping, forestry wilding pine management, fruit sampling and soil lab testing, giving her a broad perspective on both conventional and regenerative systems.
She has trained as a microbiology lab technician and in biological compost production through Dr Elaine Ingham, which has been complemented by teachings from Graeme Sait's Nutrition Farming and ongoing intensive study in agroecological coaching with Nicole Masters. Brianna's focus is on supporting growers and farmers creating resilient and profitable farming systems centred on human, animal and soil health.
Brianna Dennison
Born and raised on an orchard in the Bay, Caitlin developed both a passion and an understanding of growing from a young age. After gaining her BSc in horticultural science Caitlin gained experience working with a variety of crops before taking on leadership roles in the kiwifruit and medicinal cannabis industries growing both organically and conventionally. She has also spent time with lab technologies and sampling for the horticultural industry, as well as teaching and educating on crop production.
Caitlin has spent time with leaders in the regenerative space to expand her knowledge and expertise - working under microbiologist Dr Elaine Ingham, agroecologist Nicole Masters and Australian regen expert Graeme Sait.
Now trained as a certified SFW lab technician, Caitlin spends her time both in the field and the lab supporting different growing operations.

That's us.
"Together we have founded Myriad Soils to support the growing movement of regenerative practices in New Zealand. We offer biological advice, soil biology testing, coaching and guidance to growers and farmers wanting to gain financial freedom and further ecological preservation."
